Why not try something new?
Although many of us have grown out of hunting for easter eggs, it does not mean your venue can’t have some fun at Easter. Why not introduce a new beer on tap? Easter is a great time to introduce some of the lighter beers that your venue might have been missing during the winter months. IPAs are a great choice for this season as while still packed with flavour, they will sit lighter on the stomach than another types of brew. They also, due to the hoppy flavour, go very well with roast lamb so if you are getting out your oven gloves for a roast, this would be a great choice. As the weather (hopefully) becomes brighter, so should your beers! Make the most of the Easter bank holiday with the DWUK spring beer recommendations.
Meantime Anytime IPA is a combination of Mosaic, Ekuanot, Cascade and Centennial hops creates an ultimate session IPA. Tropical flavours are powerful in this beer, paired with a low bitterness making for a very clean, drinkable pint.
From Brighton, Laine Brew Co gives us the Rippa Session IPA which delivers a bitter grapefruit and fresh citrus punch, while remaining well-balanced with the strong hop hit. The finish delivers a touch of forest pine.
BrewDog Hazy Jane New England IPA combines the flavours of pineapple, mongo, stone-fruit and a hint of tangerine to give a full fruit flavour. Breed with oats and wheat and then left unfiltered for a smooth and juicy hit on the palate.
Just as the namesake, Brixton Low Voltage IPA is packed full of electrifying energy. Full of juicy New World hops, it is packed full of flavour and zesty tones. Brixton leaves this IPA unpasturised and unfiltered for a powerful hop hit, that zaps your tastebuds.
Two Tribes Metroland IPA is a light bodied and easy to drink IPA, bursting full of refreshing citrus flavours from Amarillo and Simcoe. Notes of grapefruit, passion fruit and spicy pine come through with a backdrop of orange peel and papaya which lingers for an easy drinking experience.
New Zealand’s Yeastie Boys brew Bigmouth Session IPA in the UK, ensuring that it delivers big flavour to go with its name. The NZ hops give layers of grapefruit and lemon with a white wine acidity due to the Nelson Sauvin hops. It is well-rounded and dry – and the perfect session beer.
