Question: When is it Pimm’s o’clock? Answer: Always.
Pimm’s is proud to be a partner of Wimbledon. Established in 1840 by James Pimm in his famous Oyster Bar in London, Pimm’s and the accompanying phrase ‘Pimm’s O’Clock’ have become icons of British summertime. Just like Wimbledon.
The original Pimm’s No.1 Cup is a gin based spirit with a fruity flavour, made from a secret recipe infusing gin with a delicate combination of herbal botanicals, caramelised orange and warm spices. Originally blended by James Pimm as an aid to digesting oysters in 1840, Pimm’s went on to be sent to soldiers at the far edges of the Empire, be served at Queen Victoria’s lunches and ended up making its debut at Wimbledon in 1971. And this year, it will be no different.
Pimm’s will take pride of place at Wimbledon as the signpost of British summertime! Wimbledon-goers will be able to enjoy the classic Pimm’s No.1 Cup in the Grounds, available from the beautiful ‘Pimm’s on the Hill’ bar, designed in a quintessentially British summer style true to both Pimm’s and Wimbledon, alongside the newly styled Pimm’s at the Long Bar. More than 280,000 glasses of Pimm’s were enjoyed throughout The Championships’ Fortnight in 2020, and even more were enjoyed outside the Grounds. Why don’t you serve a Pimm’s Wimbledon special this summer at your venue?
