The legend of Disaronno: a simple gesture of kindness and the unique handmade combination of secret ingredients.
The warm, sophisticated taste of Disaronno has a lineage dating back to one of the most romantic and creative periods in Italian history – the Renaissance. In 1525, the artist Bernardino Luini, a brilliant pupil of Leonardo da Vinci – was commissioned to paint a fresco of the Madonna of the Miracles in Saronno (Madonna dei Miracoli in Saronno, where the Fresco is still displayed today). To portray the Madonna, he chose a beautiful local innkeeper as his muse. As a mark of her gratitude, she prepared a special gift for the artist, namely, a flask full of an amber liqueur, fragrant and delicate.
The latest novelty is Disaronno Velvet: an innovation with the unmistakable taste of Disaronno, perfect for those who love cream liqueurs with an intense aroma. Disaronno Velvet is a masterful and harmonious combination of Disaronno Originale, with its distinctive character, and delightfully unexpected velvety notes.
A new product, perfect for those who love creams with an intense aroma: the distinctive taste of the most popular Italian liqueur in the world takes on unexpected nuances. Incredibly smooth, Disaronno Velvet masterfully and harmoniously mixes the distinctive imprinting of classic Disaronno, which has won over generations, leaving its mark with velvety notes. A sweet, fruity cream liqueur from Disaronno, Velvet offers notes of rich cream, vanilla, apricot and toffee on the palate. A version to be enjoyed strictly over ice, a true tasting experience that enhances its unique and fresh taste. Disaronno Velvet is the ideal choice to cool off this summer, thanks also to its low alcohol content (ABV 17%). The signature bottle, with a “square cap”, also has a brand new shape with a very elegant, contemporary total white look.
Why not try the Velvet Godfather?
Chill a rocks glass with some ice while preparing the drink. A lovely accompaniment to 60ml Disaronno Velvet Cream Liqueur is 60ml The Busker Triple Cask Irish Whiskey. Place both of these into a cocktail shaker over ice. Add 2 bar spoons of apricot jam and shake well. Throw away your ice chilling your glass, and double strain your drink into the rocks glass. Garnish with coconut and a white paper straw to serve.
