Oooooo. Spooky.
In the Rum & Crab Shack in Cornwall, a famous seafood joint in St Ives, Dead Man’s Fingers Spiced Rum was born.
They were bored with the traditional flavours and wished to be ‘liberated from the tyranny of convention’; therefore, the original premium spiced rum took inspiration from unusual local flavours. Their unique Spiced rum is delicious neat as well as mixed with other things. All they needed was a name. They took their name from the long gills found inside of a crab, rumoured to kill a man with a single bite. An appropriately quirky name for a deliciously weird brand. It had nothing to do with pirates or Caribbean islands as is the norm for a rum – in their words ‘yawn’. In fact, Dead Man’s Fingers as a name was so wrong – it was right. So that’s us. A weird name, a skull on the bottle (allegedly the last man to eat the dead man’s fingers), and a delicious rum inspired by the sort of flavours that make them happy.
