Something a little different.
Elevate your brunch experience with these quintessential cocktails – because, let’s be honest, without tipples, it’s just breakfast! We’ve got you covered with a variety of delicious and easy-to-make drinks, whether you’re a wine enthusiast, beer lover (check our list of beer cocktails), sparkling wine sipper, or a fan of tequila or vodka. Our curated list ensures there’s something for everyone, bringing a touch of sophistication to your customer’s mid-morning feast. We know you know the classics: Espresso Martinis, Bloody Marys, and Mimosas are great, but we’ve left them off this list to inspire some new ideas for your brunch offerings. Here’s to a brunch that goes beyond the basics!
Honey Deuce
A cocktail that’s synonymous with the U.S. Open, we believe it belongs on a brunch table as much as it belongs as a refresher on a long day out watching tennis greats battle it out on the court. Use Grey Goose if you want to be it to be the authentic tennis cocktail, but any vodka will do.
Method
Fill glass with the ice. Top with lemonade, vodka and raspberry liqueur and gently stir. Using a melon baller, scoop three balls of honeydew and slide them on a skewer. Garnish with skewered melon balls.
Michelada
Transform your standard light beer into something truly exceptional with this spicy and zesty cocktail. The combination of hot sauce and lime juice delivers a tantalising blend of heat and tanginess, while a subtle umami undertone leaves you craving another sip. While we suggest a specific beer, any light Mexican beer will work wonders in this recipe.
Method
Sprinkle Tajin on a shallow plate, mix with some salt if desired. Run a lime wedge around the glass rim and coat in tajin mix. Combine Clamato juice, lime juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce at the bottom of large glass and stir to combine. Fill glass with ice, then top with cold beer. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
Breakfast Martini
London bartender Salvatore Calabrese crafted a Martini fit for any hour of the day, inspired by a breakfast revelation. Legend has it that after his wife suggested he enjoy some toast and marmalade alongside his morning espresso, the idea for the Breakfast Martini was born. The beauty of this cocktail lies in its adaptability; you can use your preferred style or brand of gin, and while Combier is commonly used as the orange liqueur, alternatives like Cointreau or Grand Marnier can also create delightful results.
Method
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled. Double strain into a coupe/martini glass. Garnish and serve.
Prosecco Mint Julep
This beverage offers a delicate sweetness and lightness, serving as an ideal complement to various cuisines. Should your preference lean towards cava, Champagne, or any other variety of sparkling wine, consider substituting it for the prosecco. Ensure all ingredients remain chilled to maintain the optimal coldness of the final drink.
Method
In a mint julep cup or highball glass, muddle mint leaves and syrup. Add bourbon, then ice, prosecco, and bitters, and gently stir to combine. Garnish with mint.
Dalgona Martini
Indulge in the trendiest addition to your beverage repertoire: Dalgona, also known as whipped coffee, continues to reign supreme as the ultimate topping for all your drinks. Infusing this cocktail with coffee adds an irresistible flair, making it a standout option for any brunch menu. Elevate your dining experience with this stylish and delicious concoction, guaranteed to impress even the most discerning brunch aficionados.
Method
Fill a glass with ice, add Baileys and the vodka. Stir until well chilled, then strain into a martini glass. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, coffee, and water. Use a hand whisk to mix until its smooth and shiny ad can hold its foamy shape. Dollop and swirl the whipped coffee on top of the martini.
