Husband and wife team, Jonny and Katie Spanjar, made a bold move from East London to Margate eight years ago, bringing with them a deep-rooted passion for the pub industry that spans generations on both sides. With a keen understanding of beer and public tastes, they decided to embark on a new adventure: brewing their own craft beer.
Margate, with its rich brewing history and lack of a working brewery at the time, was the perfect backdrop for their venture. Embracing the craftier side of beer making, they focused on creating big, juicy hop hitters that are ideal for summertime drinking. Their brews are designed to be refreshing and flavourful, perfect for sipping by the sea.
Jonny and Katie take immense pride in their current beer range, which features eye-catching branding and label artwork crafted by local Margate artists. This collaboration with the artistic community not only enhances their beer’s visual appeal but also strengthens their connection to the vibrant town they call home.

Dune Buggy Table IPA – perfect beach beer. Brewed light and bright but flavour packed with zippy sherbet complexity & oats to layer up the body. Cashmere & Mosiac hops bringing a tropical fruity goodness to the party.
Northdown Lager – An unfiltered lager with herbal and citrus aromas to compliment a comforting bready malt backbone finishing with a satisfying snap of bitterness.
Squidly Diddly Hazy IPA – A heady hop hit of Galaxy and Citra bringing the super-surge of tropical fruit flavours backed up with a pithy zest backbone. New England yeast providing fruity esters and bags of wheat and oats bring that textbook softness and haze – an absolute dream to drink.
Tidal Pool Hazy Pale Ale – An immense stone fruit and zesty citrus hit from the hops working in harmony with the soft, oat-ladened malt body and fruity floral yeast esters finishing with a bright bitter snap.
