Soft Swaps

The best substitutions when alcohol just won’t cut it

The low- and no-alcohol market has experienced consistent growth in recent years. Based on data from IWSR, the value of the no/low-alcohol category across 10 key markets is projected to increase by more than a third by 2026, primarily driven by alcohol-free products. However, while we appreciate alcohol-free products, they are not the sole option for creating mocktails.

At DWUK, we offer a diverse selection of soft drinks that stand out on their own and serve as excellent substitutes for classic cocktails in alcohol-free versions. Here are some of our preferred alternatives designed to cater to customers seeking non-alcoholic options.

Kir Royale – Incorporate a splash of blackcurrant cordial into Appletiser, creating a delightful alternative to the classic Kir Royale. Served chilled in a flute glass and garnished with a few fresh berries, these elegant mocktails offer a refined twist on the traditional sparkling wine cocktail.

Mojito – Make in the exact same way, but swap the measure of rum for Folkington’s Cloudy Apple Juice and a dash of Giffard Almond Syrup. The apple/almond shot keeps the Cuban flavour, with none of the alcohol.

Sex on the Beach – Swap the vodka and schnapps for Little Mixers White Peach Puree. The taste is incredibly similar. When dealing with bold flavours like cranberry and peach, it’s hard to go wrong!

Bloody Mary – A great swap for vodka in a Bloody Mary is pickle juice. It adds a extra layer of depth of flavour. We recommend Pickle House Spiced Tomato Mix, as it comes complete with pickle juice. Rim the glass with celery salt to level up even further.
