New Spring Wines
Ladoix 1er Cru le Rognet Monopole Domaine d Ardhuy 2020 – Aromas of honeysuckle, lychee, and melon, all of which is trimmed in subtle but perceptible wood. There is good volume and richness to the medium-bodied flavours that flash a touch of bitter lemon rind on the sneaky long finish.
Earthsong Sauvignon Blanc – Grown in Dillon’s Point, an area renowned for producing Sauvignon Blancs with tropical fruit notes and passion fruit to the fore. There are hints of blackcurrant and grapefruit too. The palate is rich, bright, and zesty with a slight briny tang. This wine has real intensity of fruit, with a lovely crisp, mineral finish.
Cantina Toblino Alto Adige Pinot Grigio – Straw yellow in colour, with coppery hues. On the nose, it is graceful and fruity with perfumes of Williams pear and yellow plum. Structured but discreet on the palate, elegant with a pleasant touch of acidity that gives a sensation of cleanliness and freshness in the mouth.
Les Acacias Loire Sauvignon Blanc – Fruit for this wine is picked at night to ensure optimal freshness. On the nose, the wine exalts pronounced aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers characteristic of this grape, such as elderflower, as well as notes of boxwoods. On the palate, the wine is supple and well balanced with a certain raciness.
DWUK Recommends: Spring Wines for May – June

Hush Heath Luke’s Pinot Noir – Light ruby red, with delicate aromas of vanilla and raspberry. On the palate, the wine boasts red berry fruits, cherry, and spiced vanilla.
Sugar Loaf Sauvignon Blanc – A pleasingly bright and restrained example: gently leafy aromas, followed by a crisp bite of lime with notes of green pepper and gooseberry.
Sea Change Prosecco – Crisp yet delicate with aromas of peach and pear, it’s a delightfully light-bodied wine with a refreshing and delicious lingering finish.
